It’s not much, but it’s a sign of things to come for Iowa tonight. The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Tornado Watch in effect until 10pm for extreme northwest Iowa. The NW corner of the state is in the southeast part of the watch. It’s likely storms won’t reach Iowa until after 8 or 9pm. But if storms can get their act together, they could move across the state as we move into the overnight hours.
We’ll continue to monitor the situation to the west and bring updates when/if needed. We’ll also launch our live coverage if needed later this evening.
