The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, OK has issued a tornado watch for far eastern Iowa until 8:00pm. It’s expected this watch will not last for long within Iowa. Storms moving through the area at this time are intesifying but are not producing tornadoes at this time. That could change as the storms push east towards the Mississippi River.
The greatest threat for tornadoes exists in Wisconsin and Illinois. But for the next 1-3 hours, the threat remains over Iowa.
