It’s late on a mid-autumn night. And believe it or not, a tornado watch is about to be issued for central and eastern Iowa. A powerful storm system is rapidly intensifying and bringing with it a cold front. The primary threat is strong damaging winds over a widespread area, but tornadoes are possible over the next few hours as supercells fire over the next couple of hours.
With the time of year and the late hour, this is a potentially dangerous situation as many will not expect such a severe weather threat. Stay with us throughout the night and we’ll launch our live coverage if needed later this evening.
