WXALERT: Thunderstorm Watch Until 1:00AM

Untitled The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, OK has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 1:00am for much of central Iowa.  This is primarily a continuation of a watch for northwest Iowa as a line of strong to severe thunderstorms makes its way into northern Iowa.

HAIL TO 1.5 INCHES IN DIAMETER…THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH…AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS. THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 40 STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 40 MILES NORTHWEST OF MASON CITY IOWA TO 70 MILES SOUTH OF FORT DODGE IOWA.
