WXALERT: Thunderstorm Watch for Eastern Iowa Until 10:00 PM

Untitled A new Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for much of eastern Iowa.  This watch will run until 10:00PM.  A growing line of showers and thunderstorms in western Iowa is expected to intensify and push across eastern Iowa.  Shear values altered by this morning’s convection makes the primary threat from these storms damaging winds.  Large hail and insolated tornadoes will also be possible.

We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates when we can from the field, be sure to keep it on our facebook fan page and twitter for the very latest
