WXALERT: Threat for Severe Weather Increasing over Iowa


The Storm Prediction Center, in its final afternoon update, has upgraded portions of central Iowa to a slight risk for severe weather.  This threat includes all modes of severe weather, large hail, strong damaging winds, and an isolated tornado or two.

Discrete supercells could develop along a warm front over this area that could produce severe weather later this afternoon/evening.

We are monitoring the threat and will bring you the very latest throughout the night.
