This is a VERY marginal watch, but the Storm Prediction Center is monitoring a strong line of thunderstorms in Missouri moving to the northeast. Reports of strong damaging winds with the squall line prompted them to issue this Severe Thunderstorm Watch for three counties in Iowa. This watch is scheduled to run until 3:00pm.
Again the primary threat is strong winds. But I expect this line to weaken as it moves north into Iowa. Most of the state will remain rain free until this afternoon when a cold front pushes through. Isolated reports of hail and strong winds are possible this afternoon and evening, but no organized severe weather is expected.
