The storm system that won’t go away will persist with severe weather across the Great Plains states on Monday. This round of strong storms is expected to affect an area similar to that hit with storms Sunday evening.
As you can see in the graphic above, the probabilities for severe weather are quite similar to Sunday. Areas of Kansas and Oklahoma appear to be at greatest risk, with much of the focus on central and western Kansas, where I feel the greatest threat for tornadoes exists. Although all modes of severe weather will be possible, the greatest attention will focus on tornado development and the potential for large hail.
