Snow will lift northeastward across the upper Mississippi River Valley Friday morning through Friday evening. Expect snow total accumulations of 2 to 4 inches with isolated 5 inch amounts. Some freezing drizzle with a light glaze of ice is also possible Friday evening after the snowfall. Difficult travel conditions are expected through the day, including during the morning and evening commutes. Those with travel plans should expect winter driving conditions and allow extra time to reach their destinations.
