Winter Weather Advisory in Effect this Evening

Snow will start late today over southwestern Iowa and spread eastward this evening before ending Sunday morning. Snow totals will generally be between 1 to 3 inches with isolated 4 inch amounts possible. Travelers this holiday weekend should be prepared for slick, snow covered roadways and reduced visibilities at times due to falling snow.

A winter weather advisory will be in effect from 6pm this evening to 9am Sunday. Plan on slippery and/or snow covered road conditions. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are expected with isolated 4 inch totals closer to the Missouri border.

Be prepared for slick, snow covered roads and reduced visibilities at times due to falling snow. A winter weather advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
