A strong winter storm remains on track for much of Iowa from Sunday afternoon into Monday. Light snow or a wintry mix is possible when precipitation begins, but will transition to freezing rain across much of the state. The period of most impactful weather is expected tonight through Monday, where significant amounts of freezing rain are possible, resulting in extremely hazardous travel conditions.
A ice storm warning has been issued. This is where two-tenths to three-tenths of an inch of ice will be possible. A few locations may exceed a third of an inch.
A winter weather advisory has been issued. Locations under this advisory will have the potential to see one-tenth to two-tenths of an inch of ice.
