The first arctic air mass of the season will spread across the region Tuesday as a cold front will be passing through the region, bringing with it cooler air that will hold high temperatures in the 20’s to 30’s on Tuesday. Each day this week will be colder than the previous one, and by Thursday, highs will struggle to reach 20 degrees.
Winds will be on the stronger side, blowing from the west to northwest at 15 to 20-mph most of this week. When you combine the expected air temperature with wind speeds, wind chill values will be in the teens to single digits for Tuesday and Wednesday, possibly dropping below zero for some by Thursday into Friday.
