Intense low pressure system will move across Iowa Friday and will bring very strong northwest winds to the state. The wind will remain strong Friday night, but will gradually diminish after midnight.
A winds advisory has been issued from 6am Friday to midnight Friday night. Northwest wind of 25 to 35-mph with gusts to 55-mph will be possible. Items not secured will be blown around. Localized tree damage and subsequent power outages could occur in vicinity of the strongest wind.
