Wildfires Cause Hazy Look to Sky Monday

Many of you may have wondered why the sky was a eerie yellow/orange look to it Monday afternoon. This is because a cold front moved through the state late Sunday, causing the winds to shift out of the northwest. The wind is causing smoke from wildfires that are currently burning across the Pacific Northwest and Canada to be filtered into the state.

The particles of the smoke not only cause the yellow/orange hazy skies, but can cause issues for those with respiratory problems. Until the winds change directions, the haze could be with us for a couple days.

If you have any photos of the hazy sky, send us your photos on Facebook and Twitter!
