Light snow is forecast Saturday evening into early Sunday morning. Snow will begin after 9pm Saturday. Temperatures across southeast Iowa initially may be warm enough for a rain/snow mix, but will quickly cool for all snow by midnight.
The snow will quickly end by mid-morning Sunday. Snowfall accumulations up to 2 inches is possible, mainly over central to southeast Iowa. This may result in the first accumulating snowfall in this location and possibly lead to some tricky travel conditions. However, any snow that accumulates will likely quickly melt by Sunday afternoon as we’ll finally see some sunshine. Temperatures are forecast to warm into the 40s by Sunday afternoon and again on Monday.
