Warmest Temps of the Year Coming

Hot weather is on the way for the state, so you will want to get outdoors and enjoy the weather on Tuesday and Wednesday. A dry cold front moved through the state today, which will allow Tuesday to be a few degrees cooler. Highs on Tuesday will be in the 70’s, and Wednesday will be in the mid 70’s to low 80’s. The real heat will come on Thursday.

Highs on Thursday will range from the mid 80’s to near 90. Friday, the furnace will be kicked up a couple notches, as highs will be in the low to mid 90’s. The humidity will make it feel even warmer, as the heat index on Friday and Saturday will be in the mid 90’s to low 100’s.

These temperatures are above normal for this time of year, as average highs are in the upper 70’s to low 80’s. Make sure to drink plenty of fluids during this heat wave, and take frequent breaks to avoid heat stroke.
