After a rainy day for some today, Friday will be a picture perfect day. The sun will be out and temperatures will warm up into the mid 70s to lower 80s. Friday night lows will cool of into the 50s. Saturday, highs will warm back up into the mid 70s to lower 80s once again. However, this is when the weather patter looks to become more active. Rain chances will build into the state starting Saturday night.
The majority of the rain Saturday afternoon and evening will be across southwest Iowa. The rain chances on Sunday afternoon and evening look to be more widespread across the state. There is even the potential that a few of these storms may be strong to severe on Sunday. This weekend is not going to be a total washout so you will still be able to enjoy the holiday weekend. This pattern will then carry on over into next week. If anything does become severe this weekend, check back to here for the very latest.
