After a cooler, below average weekend, the week ahead will be heating up. Today, highs ranged from the mid to lower 70’s across the state. This is roughly 5 to 10 degrees below average. However, starting tomorrow, the sun will be returning which will bring back the heat and humidity.
Fog is likely to redevelop across the state late tonight, mainly across southeast Iowa. The best timing for this dense for is most likely between 4am and 9am Monday morning. This may impact your morning commute Monday morning if you live across southeast Iowa as visibilities will be from 100 feet to a quarter of a mile. Once the fog clears out of the state, the sun will be warming highs on Monday into the mid to lower 80’s.
This warm up appears to be short lived as the 8 to 14 day temperature outlook returns temperatures back to average. The week ahead will also remain dry as the next chance of rain will not be until late next weekend.
