The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, OK issued a tornado watch for portions of western Iowa until midnight. Extreme turbulence in the atmosphere continues the threat of tornadoes well into the evening hours.
The area where storms are developing is expected to increase, putting all of Iowa in store for showers and thunderstorms through the evening and overnight hours. Right now there have been no tornado reports in Nebraska or Iowa, certainly not the outbreak we saw yesterday. But the threat remains and we’ll continue to monitor as we prepare for a possible threat over much of Iowa tomorrow.
