Thunderstorms Moving Through Central Iowa

At 4:19PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Conrad to near Iowa State Center. Movement was southeast at 30-mph. Dime size hail and wind gusts up to 50-mph will be possible with these storms.

Strong thunderstorms will be near:

  • Slater around 4:30PM CDT
  • Nevada around 4:35PM CDT
  • Meskwaki Casino around 4:50PM CDT
  • Toledo and Tama around 5:00PM CDT.

Other locations impacted by these storms include Garwin, Ferguson, Le Grand, Laurel, Zearing, Melbourne, Rhodes, Montour, Toledo Municipial Airport, and St. Anthony.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
