A potential winter storm remains the topic of discussion this Wednesday afternoon. This system is setting up to be an interesting storm, that will likely need an advisory issued. Models are still not in agreement with one another, which is currently causing uncertainty with this forecast.
As it stands now, the best chance of accumulating snow will be north of highway 30, with the greatest accumulations north of highway 20. Snow will begin Saturday afternoon and will continue through the evening, before eventually wrapping up by Sunday morning.
Since models are still not agreeing with one another, it is hard to give a confident snowfall forecast. Right now, in the heavier band, it appears that 3″ to 6″ of snow will be possible. This forecast is still likely to change as we get closer to Saturday, so continue to check back for the latest forecast updates.
