Snow Later Tonight into Wednesday Morning

Snow will spread over the southern 2/3rds of Iowa tonight into Wednesday morning. The heaviest snow will fall along and between Highways 92 and 30 through and just east of the Des Moines metro.

Snowfall accumulations of 2 to 4 inches will be likely in the advisory. Winds from the northwest averaging around 10-mph will cause isolated areas of reduced visibility.

A winter weather advisory has been issued from midnight tonight to noon Wednesday.

Travel difficulties may result from snow covered roads. A winter weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
