Freezing drizzle fell as expected across parts of northwest Iowa early this morning, producing some slick spots. As you can see in the graphic to the left, roads highlighted in yellow were reported to be partially covered with ice as of 9:00am Sunday. Temperatures remained below freezing, causing the rainfall to produce a glazing of ice on some area roads. The problems were were to our north in portions of central and southern Minnesota.
Fortunately for most of the state, temperatures above freezing are preventing any problems on this cloudy and dreary day. As for the impending Thanksgiving Holiday storm, things haven’t changed much overnight. We’ll have a complete update on the storm’s track and what it means for your travel plans later tonight.
