Iowa Severe Weather Outlook

Showers and thunderstorms will likely be ongoing across portions of the upper Midwest at the beginning of the morning, as the remnants from overnight thunderstorm activity across the northern/central plains moves eastward. A cold front is expected to move southeastward across portions of the upper Midwest and northern and central plains.

Storms will develop along the cold front by Sunday afternoon. These storms will rapidly develop into a line, which will pose a widespread damaging wind threat. Heavy rain will also appears to be a possibility, which may pose a flooding threat.
