Severe Threat Stay Mainly South of Iowa Saturday

After a couple days of severe weather across the state, Saturday will provide one last opportunity, but this chance appears to mainly stay south of the state.

This next round of severe weather potential will be possible across far southeastern portions of the area late Saturday  afternoon into this evening before a quieter and cooler period ahead. The primary threats will be large hail and damaging winds, some large hail in excess of 2 inches in diameter and damaging wind gusts in excess of 70 mph are possible.

Being Saturday and all, please keep an eye to the weather today no matter your location in the state as most of the state is under at least a marginal threat for severe weather. Continue to check back to for the latest severe weather updates.
