I wanted to say that the weather is turning quiet, but with several rounds of rain possible I didn’t think that was the right way to word it. Although rain remains in the forecast, the threat of severe weather will likely stay to our south. Currently the best chance of severe weather is Thursday when a cold front will pass through eastern Iowa. For areas under a slight risk (far southeast Iowa), the greatest risk is for marginally severe hail.
So we’re not planning on another chase this week. Another threat of rain this weekend appears to be pushing to the south and things in eastern Iowa will likely stay quiet. There are some signs next week severe weather could make a return, but it’s too soon to make any kind of prediction. As always, we’ll keep an eye on it and likely report back sometime this weekend.
