Severe weather is back in the forecast by Wednesday, ahead of an advancing cold front, and along a warm front that will be lifting to the north during the day. Storms will develop during the late afternoon in the warm sector across western Iowa. It appears that the greatest risks will be large hail initially, with damaging winds eventually taking over as the main threat once storms merge.
There is a low tornado potential across northwest Iowa/northeast Nebraska/southeast South Dakota, but the window of opportunity will be very short. Continue to follow the Iowa Storm Chasing Network for the latest severe weather updates.
