Well, an absolutely horrific forecast week finally ended with, what else, another severe thunderstorm warning for the Linn County area. A capped atmosphere prevent any of the many boundaries from sparking off a more organized severe weather event before the cold front moved through the area.
This weekend is quiet and quite enjoyable, so we turn our attention to next week. At this time there are no threats for severe weather, but that could change in the coming days.
Tuesday a wave of energy is expected to pass through the state. At this time it appears that the timing of the wave and the atmospheric conditions will be viable for a shot of severe weather.
How organized the threat will be remains to be seen, but will continue to monitor over the next few days. Otherwise, the week does bring a few chances of showers and thunderstorms. But other than Tuesday, nothing looks organized enough to carry with it a severe threat.
