There has been very little to write about in recent days, simply because the weather is just too quiet. The Storm Prediction Center now has a slight risk posted for EXTREME southwestern Iowa, but no where near us.
The storm system affecting the Midwest this weekend is expected to largely hang south of Iowa. Some showers are possible tonight, but no major problems are expected.
While this weather pattern is great news for the holiday and for fireworks displays Saturday Night, it’s not a good patter for tracking storms. The long range pattern currently shows little if any change so the best way to put it is, summer is here, it’s quiet and all we can do is sit back, and enjoy it! 🙂
