Narrow Corridor Under Severe Threat

As you can see in the graphic above, a narrow corridor is the focus for the threat of severe weather this afternoon and evening. This threat lies along a frontal boundary draped across the state today that will serve as the focal point for thunderstorm development.

Last night, many areas were hit hard with large hail. That could happen again tonight, as well as some strong damaging wind gusts. But at this time we do not expect any severe weather that develops across the region to include the threat of tornadoes.

We will be monitoring the situation throughout the day and will bring you live coverage if conditions warrant. You can also track the storms by following us on Facebook and Twitter.
