For you snow lovers, we are keeping an eye on Saturday night into Sunday as more snow will be possible. Many of you were already asking us about the potential last night and into this morning. It should be noted that there are differences in the models, which is why the forecast will likely change before Saturday.
As it stands now, the best chance for accumulating snow will be north of highway 30. Last night, the GFS deepened the low more than the Euro, and dug it further south. This would have placed the best chance for accumulating snow north of I-80. With the Euro further north, splitting the difference between the two models, this is why the best chance for snow appears to be north of highway 30.
With the track and strength of the storm still in question, we will have to keep an eye on this system for now. As we get closer, and the models begin to lock into a solution, we will then start to outline the snowfall potential and amounts.
