Forecasters issued advisories for portions of northern and western Iowa this morning as freezing drizzle once again affects parts of the area. As you can see in the graphic to the left, icing is occurring on area roadways. Areas in purple are reported to be completely covered with ice. This is causing a rough morning commute to kick off the short work week.
Besides today’s troubles, more rain and even some thunderstorms have occurred in eastern Iowa. Another storm system is expected to affect the state on Wednesday, one of the biggest travel days of the year. We’ll have more on that threat later this morning.
