Moderate to Heavy Snow Expected Saturday into Sunday

The focus on this weekend will be the potential for light snow, that will fall over a 48 hour period, this weekend. Snow will begin to fall across the northwest part of the state, as early as 8 a.m. The track of the storm will keep the majority of the snow across the northern half of the state, but some light snow will also be possible south of interstate 80.

The greatest accumulations will be across the northern third of the state. This is where 4 to 7 inches of snow will be possible. Further south across the middle third of the state, 1 to 4 inches will be possible here. Across the far south, less than an inch of snow is expected.

Since this snow will be falling over a long duration, winter storm warnings will likely not be issued, but we will likely see a winter weather advisory issued this afternoon. When that does get issued, we will update you on the very latest, so continue to check back to
