Marginal Risk of Severe Weather Across Western Iowa

Day one severe weather outlook for Iowa

Isolated severe thunderstorms could occur late this afternoon and evening mainly across the central plains and middle Missouri River vicinity, including eastern Nebraska and western Iowa.

This is where a couple of surface-based supercell could develop near a weak surface low and east/southeastward-extending warm front. Severe hail and possibly some stronger wind gusts will be possible along and north of the warm front in eastern Nebraska into western Iowa.
