Marginal Risk of Severe Storms in Western Nebraska Today

A cold front will be moving into western Nebraska later this afternoon, which will provide the chance for a few strong to severe thunderstorms. The storms will be very slow movers, which will aid in the potential for heavy rain. There is a marginal risk of excessive rain across southwest Nebraska. Current thinking is over an inch of rainfall will be possible south of Interstate 80, with some isolated areas receiving over an inch and a half of rain.
