Major Tornado Outbreak Expected to the South


This is one of those days storm chasers drool over, but also fear.  A major severe weather outbreak is forecast for the Great Plains.  The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, OK has posted the rare high risk for northeastern Oklahoma and southeastern Kansas.

All modes of severe weather are possible today with the primary threat strong, long duration tornadoes capable of extreme damage.  Virtually all professional storm chasers will converge on this area today.

Ben and his chase partner will stream live footage of their chase and also work with us to operate a live chat so we can share his information with you in real time.While I thank Ben for joining us and working to expand our coverage of severe weather, I also want to thank all of you for coming to our site.

This is the first time we’ve attempted this so I hope you all give us a little understanding.  We hope to use severe weather events such as this to better enhance our coverage and further improve it down the road.
