A long duration light to moderate snow event is still expected for the upcoming weekend. Snow is expected to spread across the state late Saturday morning and continue through Sunday night. The heaviest snow is expected to fall Saturday afternoon.
The greatest snowfall accumulations will be north of highway 20, and this is where 4 to 8 inches of snow will be possible. There may be a possibility of a few spots ending up near 10 inches across north central Iowa.
Travel with caution as visibilities will be reduced in the snow with scattered slick spots likely. Continue to follow IowaChase.com for the latest updates.
