Light to Moderate Snow Across Southern Iowa Tonight

Light to moderate snow is expected over southern Iowa overnight. The axis of heavier snow is expected to be roughly along and south of the Highway 34 corridor, with lighter amounts further north toward Interstate 80.

A winter weather advisory remains in effect until 6 am CST Sunday. Snowfall accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are expected mainly along and south of highway 34. Snow will begin early tonight in southwest Iowa and will continue until around sunrise Sunday in southeast Iowa.

Plan on slippery road conditions. Be prepared for reduced visibilities at times.A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties.
