Less than 24 hours after a major winter storm moved through the state, another round of very light snow will be possible Wednesday morning. This round of snow will be nothing compared to what many of us in the state saw yesterday.
Light snow will begin to move into southwest Iowa during the very early morning hours of Wednesday, mainly after 4am. This very narrow band of snow will lift off to the northeast across central and northeast Iowa. Some light snow flurries will also be possible across northwest Iowa.
Accumulations are going to be very light, generally around an inch or under. A few locations may see isolated higher amounts, but these small impulses generally do not pack a punch, unless you throw in the Christmas Eve snow. For some odd reason, if this system does turn out to be like the Christmas Eve snowstorm, we will be sure to let you know. Until then, enjoy the newly fallen snow and stay warm!
