Today so far has been a foggy, rainy day, but now some of that rain is beginning to transition over to light snow across northwest Iowa. This is where light snowfall accumulations will be possible over the next 36 hours. Snowfall accumulations across northwest Iowa will range from 1″ – 3″, with locally higher amounts near 4″.
Some light snowfall accumulations will be possible across central and southeast Iowa by Saturday morning, but snowfall accumulations will be very light. Generally around a half inch or less.
Strong winds Saturday night into Sunday will create for wind chills ranging from -10-degrees to -30-degrees. Some blowing snow may reduce the visibility during the day Saturday.
