A quick shot of light snow will affect areas along the Missouri River late tonight through early tomorrow morning. A very dry atmosphere is in place, so it will take some time for precipitation to reach the surface. However, the dynamics should overcome this dry air after midnight this evening.
Accumulations will be minor due to the onset of dry air at the surface, but accumulations may be just enough to create some slick roads. The current forecast from the National Weather Service calls for any accumulations to be under an inch as shown in the graphic below.
The rest of the week brings repeat chances for precipitation, including rain and snow on Wednesday evening into Thursday, followed by widespread rain on Thursday and Friday.
