Cloudy skies will persist through tonight and into Thanksgiving, with another storm system reaching the Missouri River Valley late in the day. This system will spread precipitation across about the northern half of Iowa, initially as light rain but then switching to light snow in northern Iowa on Thanksgiving Night.
Light snow will be possible north of highway 30, with the best chance of accumulating snow north of highway 3. Snowfall accumulations near the Iowa/Minnesota border could total 1 to 2 inches. The snow will not last long but may result in light accumulations before some melting occurs on Friday.
