Some light rain and snow will be possible as we head into this evening as a low will track across the state. The greatest potential for snow will exist across northwest Iowa. This is where snowfall accumulations will generally be around an inch or less.
Across west central, central and northeast Iowa, light rainfall will be possible. Any accumulations will be very light, and will not add to the flooding concern.
Winds will also be an issue during the day on Wednesday. Winds will be gusting between 30 to 40mph. Strong winds will continue into Thursday, before the sun eventually returns by Friday.
