Emergency officials are monitoring a hold in a levee near the town of Olin in Jones County. That town sits near the Wapsipinicon River and Walnut Creek. There is a bit of hopeful news. Areas most at risk by the flood were already damaged in 2008. While this might limit the impact of the flood it still needs to be taken very seriously by everyone in the area. Storm chaser Dan Gottschalk is heading to the scene and will provide more information later this evening as soon as it’s available. Check back for updates throughout the night.
