A round of after-sunset severe weather produced mainly large hail over a good chunk of the central United States Wednesday Night and into Thursday Morning. The filtered reports above are from the Storm Prediction Center, which received around 20 large hail reports from Iowa, Missouri, Illinois and Indiana. There were some scattered strong wind reports with other storms that developed in central Illinois, Ohio and Virginia (noted with blue dots). Fortunately no exceptionally large hail or strong winds and no tornadoes with this storm system.
It now exits to the east coast, but there is another storm system already making its way into the Great Plains that will deliver a more substantial severe threat on Thursday.
