Isolated showers and thunderstorms are developing across west central Iowa this afternoon. A few of these may be strong with hail being the primary concern. These storms that do develop will be tracking off to the southeast this evening, and will begin to lose steam after the sun sets. The latest high resolution models may be overdoing it on thunderstorm development as shown above. Another chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible during the day on Thursday as a cold front tracks through the state. Check back to the Iowa Storm Chasing Network on Twitter and Facebook for the very latest if storms were to become severe this evening.
