Flash Flood Watch 7/17

Iowa Flash Flood Watch

A line of showers and thunderstorms across southern Minnesota will drop lowly southeast across the region overnight. This line will produce some heavy rain with amounts of 2 to 4 inches possible. This heavy rain could cause some flash flooding to occur over northeast Iowa into portions of southeast Minnesota. Because of this, a flash flood watch has been issued until 7am CDT Sunday.

A flash flood watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should flash flood warnings be issued.
