The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for northern Hancock, southeastern Winnebago and east central Kossuth counties in north central Iowa until 10:30PM CDT. At 4:32PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. As much as 3 to 4 inches of rain have already fallen, with the greatest amounts in northwest and north central Hancock county. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area this evening.
