Iowa Flash Flood Warning

A flash flood warning is in effect for portions of Louisa and Washington counties in southeast Iowa until 1:15AM CDT. Doppler radar estimates 2 to 3 inches of rain have fallen from south of Gladwin to near Richmond. Thunderstorms will bring heavy rainfall to portions of Louisa county over the next hour, with around an inch of additional rain possible. Flash flooding is expected.

Some locations that will experience flooding include, Columbus Junction, Ainsworth, Columbus City, Cotter, Fredonia, Gladwin, Haskins, and Louisa County Fairgrounds.

Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life. Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you can do so safely.
