After a fall like day on Monday, Tuesday will be even cooler with highs only in the mid 70s! Average for this time of year should be in the mid to lower 80s. If you are one of those (strange) people that would like the extreme August heat, you are out of luck. The remainder of the week will be average with temperatures in the lower 80s.
There are only a few chances of rain towards the end of the week, and these chances look to be fairly low. There still remains uncertainty with how this system will play out, so this is something that we will be keeping an eye on. At this time, it does not appear that this will be a washout, just a chance of a few showers and thunderstorms. There are signs that the heat will begin to build back into the state by the beginning of next week. A few of the longer range models even show signs of above average temperatures into late next week, so if you are wanting the heat, this may be your chance. Until then, get outside and enjoy the fall like weather and enjoy the state fair!
